Which is funny, as I just wrote a pure-PHP version of ext/dbx for use in environments where the C dbx extension is unavailable :-) Cheerio, Marc.

Need a few more databases in dbx yet. ;) And John's benchmarks show what he is playing at http://phplens.com/lens/adodb/
