Default long/lat. Why?

Probably a daft question, but why are the default long/lat set as #define DATE_DEFAULT_LATITUDE "31.7667" #define DATE_DEFAULT_LONGITUDE "35.2333" ? Looks like the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

0, 0 perhaps? 90 N, 0 E for Santa's workshop? Or, -90, 0 for the penguins? Do the constants NEED to exist?... :-v What does it hurt to have them stay as-is?

My only issue is that there is no documentation to describe what the values represent. I didn't realise that +ve longitude was East. If there is a good website that allows you to find your city/company/etc and then describe the location in values you can use in the PHP.INI file, then that would be useful. Alternatively, allowing the settings to be entered as 50 23 12.97N 31 57 07.74W as a single value which you get from a lot of map software (google earth for example).

yeah, i was surprised by this as well... but for bc reasons I had to keep it in the reimplementation of the date stuff. Might kick it out in PHP 6 :) regards, Derick
