Hi,

I contacted Stig Venaas who is listed in the php/EXTENSIONS file as
being the maintainer of the LDAP extension. I have some patches I would
like to provide/apply
so that the extension supports LDAP + TLS a little better. Currently
there is no way to deal with certificates programatically, and must rely
on config files located on the
file system that can be difficult to handle in general installation
scenarios.

Could you please advise how I can go about updating this extension?

Try contacting Douglas Goldstein (I CCed him), he's the current maintainer of ext/ldap.
