Upgrade Tips

  • Prepend parameter and return types with a question mark (?) to permit null values alongside the specified type.
  • Functions and methods can now declare a void return type, indicating they do not return a value.
  • Use the iterable pseudo-type to accept both arrays and Traversable objects in parameter and return declarations.
  • Catch multiple exception types in a single catch block using pipe syntax (|), avoiding redundant error handling code.
